The “tree of life” has been produced with wood and stell. It represents Italy pavillon in Milan Expo 2015 and Marco Balich is the creator of it (he is also artistic director for the Expo).
“Tour Eiffel of third millennium” is the name used by many people to call Marco Balich’s creature (a 3 milion euro’s project) The nickname may sound extreme but it is not, considering the fact that the “Tree” has been builded in 150 non stop working days.
The Tree of Life in situated near Palazzo Italia, in center of Lake Arena where state and italian government rapresentation is hosted. The location is perfect to host this big opera. The website of italian pavillon expo 2015 quote: “ it representd the sign towards the future, innovation and technology. Since the beginning the structure was created as interactive icon with the porpuse to capture the visitor’s imagination, creating networking within the different pavillion partecipating to Expo 2015”
Here are a couple of great photos and a video (taken from repubblica TV) dedicated to the “Tree of Life”.
